Am 10. Dezember 2008 feiert die UNO das sechzigjährige Jubiläum der Deklaration der Menschenrechte.
Aus diesem Anlass planen verschiedene Abtreibungsorganisationen, unter anderem die International Planned Parenthood Federation und Marie Stopes International (die in Österreich unter anderem die Fleischmarktklinik betreibt) eine Kampangne, mit der das Recht auf Abtreibung in den Katalog der Menschenrechte aufgenommen werden soll.
Wie die Erfahrung im Europarat zeigt, haben sie damit gute Aussichten auf Erfolg.
C-FAM (Catholic Family & Human Rights Institute), eine Pro Life Organisation, die sich speziell mit der Sozialpolitik der UNO beschäftigt, führt nun eine Unterschriftenaktion durch, mit der das Recht auf Leben auch für ungeborene Kinder gesichert werden soll.
Ich bitte alle, diese Aktion zu unterstützen und Ihre Freunde in aller Welt einzuladen, ebenfalls zu unterschreiben.

Dear Fighter for the Unborn!
You have signed the UN Petition for the Unborn Child and I thank you! We are now up to 46,000 names from all over the world. The petition is now circulating in 11 languages!
Since you have already signed, I am writing to ask you to send the petition with your own message to everyone in your address book! This is the way we are going to get to 100,000 names. Who knows, maybe we can get more than that!
But, in order to get there we need your help to turn this into a real viral internet campaign. The way to do that is for you to send the petition to everyone you know. If you have a blog, put it there. If you have a website, put it there.
The radical pro-abortion groups will submit petitions at UN headquarters on December 10th. They might submit a hundred thousand or more! We must match them and show the General Assembly that more people are pro-life than pro-abortion.
